Now the next step of designing, We started with some rough sketches of the interfaces which we decided last time. So that, we can visually communicate with others, what we are thinking about the interaction. Sometimes people have a different perspective about the interaction they can think of a different aspect of the same interaction because sometimes interactions happen in multiple phases, so sketching plays a crucial role in this. Then we studied how the interaction takes place. Then at the end of the session, I and my partner discussed with the faculty and decided to select the kick and block interaction which was my partner’s idea.

Space and Materiality (Week 9)
After the 8th week submission, we started with a new project ‘Project 2.’ We discussed some interfaces, how a body interacts with another body like hugging and shaking hands. These are some of the examples that sir told us and then we have to explore this field and have to think out of the box. We usually interact with many surfaces while playing, dancing and in a day to day life. We also interact with one another during this time. So how we interact with one another is like a bond or link between us. So this project is not for oneself but for you and another person. We combined with one another and decided some field and explored their interactions. I chose Hindu rituals, and my partner took sports and athletics. So we came up with some interesting interactions like
1) hand interaction during marriage ritual (Kanya Daan).
2) interaction between head and hand during ‘Sindoor Rasm.’
3) interaction between foot and hand while taking the blessing.
4) hand to hand interaction during the ring ceremony.
These are some interaction which I decided while exploring. I think interaction also link some emotions between two persons while Kanya Daan’ the feeling of togetherness between bride and groom. During ‘Sindoor Rasm’ it’s the commitment to fulfilling all the promises of ‘7 Phera.’ The emotion of love, blessing, respect, and care while taking the blessing. The emotion of new starting during the ring ceremony. These are the interactions of the body with the interaction of emotion.
Space and Materiality (week 7)
The three prototypes which I made ow we have to select anyone, and we had to go further with it. So we chose the pulling the pin of the fire extinguisher. So as I told the challenges which I faced while making prototypes. The difficulties which I encountered were the framework was not rigid, the jute was not firm, the look of flame was not there, so the jute was not the right material for the flashes. So to solve them, I used wood to make it more stable, and this time the wire work was also dense. This time I stick the cloth to make it firmer and to give it a shape of the wrist. This time I used clothes of red and yellow color to make it look like a fire. So these are the upgradations that I made in the final prototype.
Space and Materiality (week 6)
So the next step of the design process after finalizing your sketch after lots of upgradations.
The next step is to make a rough quick prototype to see that what can be the consequences and what type of problem we can face during the process of the final model so that we can work on it priorly. The rough prototype also gives us a chance to explore different materials. As I chose 3 grips from the sketches that were rotating a bulb, pulling the pin of the fire extinguisher, and sliding a window. I made prototypes of three of them, so the problems I faced were that in the 3rd model I should have used wood instead of file card so that it could be more rigid and beautiful. Nextly to find a proper material for the bulb grip, it was hard to find a hard transparent material to use because we were not allowed to use glass. Also, the cotton was ruining the meaning of that grip. Thirdly, in the third grip, the frame was not rigid, and flames were not looking like flames due to the material. So these are some of the things that I have to think about before starting my final model.
Drawing (week 8)
This week is a challenging week for us because we have to sketch something which we know we can’t do properly and the most challenging part is that we have to choose a medium which we want to explore and we haven’t used before. I took product and charcoal together, I think it’s too challenging because I alredy have issue with proportions of the product while sketching. It’s important to make a product with proportion and with proper 3d but choosing charcoal, I think was bit too challenging for me because its too smooth and it smudge so fast. My hand rest over the sheet while,I draw so it smudges the sketch. So it was hard to sketch without erasing anything. But ended up loving charcoal as a drawing medium. So this my progress chart.
Drawing (week 7)
We explored the streets now with some more definition and with more depth to it. So we worked on 3d and also the perspective of th scene. We also disscuseed what to improve. It was not about 5 min sketches now we had to spend little more time and more detailed and proportional sketches. This is like a progress chart from the first drawing to my last drawing of the week. Improvement is slight but it is there, even I can feel it.
Drawing (week 6)
We explored 3d in a new way which was perspective. Perspective is the 2d representation of 3d objects, how they appear to us in real can be drawn with this technique, we learned to sketch the interior spaces relatively to how they seemed to us. It is a relative quantity based on the distance of you and the object and also on the height of the vision. Horizon line is the height of the eyesight. When we look at the opposite edges of the object, it seems to merge at a point, when extended to a long distance. So the point where the meet is called vanishing point. Drawing is more about visual representation, so this is what we learned represented through sketches. You can have a short glimpse of what I want to say

Imaging (week 8)
We continued the journey to digitalization of sketch we explore how we can choose proper sketches for digitalization, and then how to initially start with it. It’s more about making a base and working on it layer by layer. We also discussed how to give little details to it and hoe to correct your sketch digitally. It’s also about playing with highlights and shadows. A digital sketch also needs a light source as other forms of drawings. Then we can start by taking a base color then we can put layers of shadows in it, and then layers of shadows and at the end, we put the layers of details. I am still learning digital sketching, so this is some of the basics I got till yet.
Imaging (week 7)
We worked on photoshop and explored some of its features to so that we can prepare for our upcoming assignments.
When it comes to learning, you can learn anytime and anything. So that’s what we did we learned some of the features of Photoshop, and then we learned the initial stage of digitalization. We also learned that how layers work during digitalization of sketch. Some tips and tricks on how to make it easy and more effective. I think firstly, choosing a sketch to digitalize is a tough task, and we also learned to make certain textures in photoshops by just using brushes and gradience. It is hard to use a proper brush and proper settings to reach a texture of your choice or what you need.
Imaging (week 6)
How we arrange things is also a part of how your mind works in certain situations. When your mind captures the information and organizes them in a proper manner tells your state of mind and how freshly your memory serves the data.
The presentation of your design is also a vital part of your design because if your design consists of various elements and so you should know how to present it in an aesthetic way and most appropriate method.
So to give us a glimpse of it we worked on making collages. It is a way of arranging your picture in a beautiful and relevant manner. We worked on how to manage data when you have various components in your design. So first, I took a theme to work on, it was a tough task for me at the first but after sometime somehow I found it. I took monochrome as my theme because sometimes I feel like what if the whole world painted with tints and shades of a color.
After making the collage, I realized that the world will don’t have that crisp and it will make the world look more lethargic according to me. So that is another approach of compiling data in a proper manner, that you can see something different in your design.
