So the process starts from here.

Imaging (Week 10)
Imaging (Week 9)
We were introduced to our new project. We have to make a zine, so we decided a story and characters for it. Here is the rough plot.
characters:- mom, daughter
Mom:- thin, tall, weak, vertically stretched face,
daughter:- 6yrs girl, round face, cute and cheerful
Concept Story:-
A girl enters the house smiling and shouting, “mom, I am home” but nobody shows up. After some time, she finds her mom in the bedroom( dark, lights off, sitting on the floor ). After seeing her daughter, the mother hugs her daughter with happiness. Then they play and do their daily work together. At the end of the day, the mother makes her daughter sleep. Suddenly the lights get off and night lamp light turns up and mom disappears( girl with the album of her and her mother).
next morning,
the gate of the room opens, mom comes in ( the room is clean with only an album on the bed)
Integrative Studio (Week 14)
We made our final model, compiling all the senses into a 3D model. So the model should represent the Dadar Flower Market. So Flower market has the smell as it’s primary sense. So we used its abstract as the structure of our model. Then all the senses were in the order as they are present in our body sound at the first, then taste and then touch. The sparkling colors were showing its contrast to that how brightness and darkness were together and how color and monochrome-ness due to same filament bulb were there. And the sand cluster at the top is representing the sound which is showing the low to high volume of the sound, overall chaotic but has so many sharp sounds as the granules of sand.
Integrative Studio (Week 13)
In week 13, all the group members combined their abstracts into one. At last, they all were representing the same market. It was tough because we thought about what should be the position of each sense so that it can show the priorities or at least should have some meaning. So we made a rough paper mockup to have an idea that how we can arrange the senses
Intgrative Studio (Week 12)
So week 12 was about selecting any sound of the market which you think can describe it and make a 2d abstract representation of it. So I have selected the chanting of the vendor and worked on it. So the sound was sharp. They were shouting from low to high. The curve of the volume was smooth. The overall sound of the market was chaotic when I observed from outside. But when I went inside, there were too many sounds. So I chose to make a wavy abstract, and also we selected the material which we are going to use for the abstract. I selected sand to represent the sound of the market.
Integrative Studio (Week 11)
So week 11 task was to make a sensory map of the market we visited, it was a tough and tricky task for us, we have to represent the market with the help of senses. So my sense is sound. So we visited the market and observed different senses. As it is a group project, everybody in our group is having different senses to observe. So I observed different types of sounds over there. Mainly, there was the sound of the chanting of the vendors, and other sounds over there were of crates, sellers, the sound of vessels form canteen. So it tested and increased our power of observation by observing a single sound, no matter what whether it’s a sound of the polythene or the shouting of the vendors. They all were important.
Integrative Studio (Week 10)
So we started with our project 2, were told about different views and perspectives. I think how our eyes perceive things and how the mind processes them are important for our observational skills. When the object is too near, we can’t see perspective views sometimes with our naked eyes. So then our imagination works as a tool for it, so we were told to make perspective views that we can’t see in our daily life, like ant view, bird view and fisheye view of the given marketplace that was Dadar Flower Market. So these are some views that human can imagine only, other than using technology. But we have to draw them by just observing the normal scene and then nurturing it in a different form. It was challenging for us to sketch in such a crowded place but the people over there were helpful, so they provided us with someplace to sit and sketch. All over it was a great experience to sketch when we were not in our comfort zone at all.
Integrative Seminar (Week 13)
This week we discussed how artist describes their work, which is generally called ‘artist statement.’ This is a descriptive text which the artist display with the work to explain it his way. This is like an addition to the work because it’s really necessary to represent your work in the right way. So that you can convey the right message. An artist statement should contain an introduction to the work, the concept used, view of the individual, explanation of the work, how the artist got inspired, and it also depends on the target audience. The artist has to write in such manner that audience can relate to. And what we should not is that we should not brag, should not be poetic, should be simple, direct and understandable, should not have cliches and should not be too technical. It should be easily understandable by the audience so that they can have the sense of the artwork by just reading it.
Integrative Seminar (Week 12)
So this week we tried to represent our site that is ‘ Dadar Flower Market’ in words. We have to represent that how we witnessed the flower market. So to me, the market was like as follows.
DADAR FLOWER MARKET: A PLACE OF CONTRAST
The day starts early with a rush of noise and blooms. The carriers rush in with colors at their back. Place where you can find different colors and fragrances altogether. You can see the showering sunlight and water on the tiny cheeks of the flower and then dripping out of their beaming face at the morn. Then everyone sellers bit for the most amusing their. With lots of mess over there you can also find where they have the auction in an organized way. In contrast to all this, your first step to the market will welcome with some fellow smells of garbage and rotten flowers. There you can also find all different types of flowers in the same color of mud and dirt. It’s a spot where you can also find colors and monochromes together. It is a colorful site which looks pleasant to the eyes, but there are also people who are dealing with a hard life every day. It’s a home to many of the sellers. They pass their days under the roof and nights over the roof. They live with the fragrance of fresh flowers and smells of rotten flowers together. You can also see the brightness in the market with daylight and also with the filaments that they use. But there is also hidden darkness in the market, how the sellers survive every day with so fewer sources. So these flowers also a way to brighten up their lives and also make it colorful at last they are the only way of their income. So it’s a place of contrast with colors and monochromes at one place and brightness and darkness also. The lanes of the market are narrow but in contrast, sellers do have further much space of opportunities to make our life more colorful and make our lives more spacious with these colorful, and happy faces of flowers.
